I was on Instagram prior to the Facebook acquisition and not being the biggest fan of Facebook's privacy and business practices I feel like taking back something as personal as photography is important. Being able to share those moments in a healthy, non manipulated, or commercialized way is significant. We need to get behind projects like Pixelfed. It will be difficult to reach a critical mass, and we really need a mobile app for IOS and Android to get even near that point, but I remain optimistic..
